Interdisciplinary inquiry that generates new knowledge and supports informed decision-making.
Maharshi Arvind Education and Research Foundation (MAERF) is an independent, non-profit institution advancing interdisciplinary research, education, innovation and public engagement for India's long-term development.
The educational legacy began with K. R. Doshi School, the first self-financed school in Bhavnagar.
Founded in 2001, Maharshi Arvind Education and Research Foundation (MAERF) is an independent, non-profit institution dedicated to advancing knowledge, fostering innovation and contributing to evidence-based public discourse. Inspired by the philosophy of Sri Aurobindo, the Foundation believes that research should not remain confined to academic institutions but should inform policy, strengthen society and contribute to India's long-term development.
MAERF promotes interdisciplinary research across diverse fields including history and civilisational studies, education, health, science and technology, environment, governance and public policy. By bringing together scholars, practitioners, institutions and communities, the Foundation seeks to generate knowledge that is academically rigorous, socially relevant and practically applicable.
The Foundation traces its origins to the educational legacy established by Shri Amar Acharya and Shri Ketan Pandya. Their contribution spans schools and higher educational institutions, including the K. R. Doshi Group of Colleges.
